Our Vision starts here in Roma, Honduras. With our current foundation of kids homes here in Honduras we wanted to find a way to reach out to our community aside from the kids homes. There are still so many kids, teens and young adults that we want to reach to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. With a team we can go in and help build schools, setup computer labs, and minister to these people the love of Christ. (and his leadership.) We want to create more leaders within our next generation of Hondurans by leading with example, teaching self leadership and build confidence in our youth of tomorrow.
Meet Our Neighbors
Life in a third world country is very hard and the poverty is high. 60.9 percent of people in Honduras are living in poverty, in rural areas 1 out of 5 people are living in extreme poverty their income amounts to $1.90US a day.
The highest education people in these conditions receive is sixth grade, by the time a child is 12 they have dropped out of school to start working to help with family needs.
People here work grueling hours for very little pay, most cant afford a car, or education for their children. Life here is hard and getting ahead seams like an impossibility.
Our neighbors maybe lacking materially but they do not lack heart, ingenuity, hard work and a helping hand. We believe by investing in our youth of tomorrow we will help them over come the obstetrical of a shaky past and be the change within their community. We are lucky to have an incredible staff of Honduran men who work for us and allow us to beat the odds when it comes to lack of resources. These men of God are helping us make the vision at GH2K possible.

You will be apart of a school makeover within our community. Projects that will rage from
We are looking for 2 teams for 2019. We are asking teams of 10-15 people to come join the Give Hope 2 Kids staff for 8 days in the beautiful tropical mountains of Honduras to experience a life changing week not only for the team members but for our community as well. You will have a rustic stay on our second GH2K campus with your very own cooks who will give a nice mix of American and authentic Honduran food. Your team will have 2 days of travel, 4 full days of work, and 1 day of fun for all the hard work done. Your fun day could consist of snorkeling, beach day, zip lining or hot springs.

In 2017 one of our groups was able to serve our community for the very first time. With that we were able to established a foundation with our neighbors in Roma. That week the team was able to repaint the entire outside walls of the school, finish their library, add electricity to the bathrooms, put in a sidewalk and added basketball hoops. |
In 2018 we were able to help the same local school by working on their surrounding wall, the team along side a few of the local dads were able to lay 800 blocks. The team was also able to help update computers and give away two new computer monitors. |
“Our contribution to the school this year consisted mainly of constructing a wall around a portion of the school property. Several of the children’s fathers joined us and worked side-by-side the Destination team and the Give Hope to Kids staff. Everyone working in harmony for the benefit of the children was such a rewarding aspect of the trip. Navigating the communication barrier was easier than expected.We found the Honduras people to be joyful, engaging, and respectful. Attending a community worship reinforced that sentiment. To have the opportunity to serve in such an impactful and unique way has been a life altering experience. ”
