This past week we had a group that came from Ontario, Canada to put up a playground for us. These playgrounds are built by high school students as a memorial to a young man Jacob who sadly passed away before completing his dream of building a playground for children in Honduras. We want to say a big thanks to this group. Out of their three and a half days of building it rained for three of them, but they just kept trucking along with smiles on their faces. Everyone was wet and the mud kept getting deeper and they kept on working. Team, thanks for having such good attitudes. You were a joy to have around. Thanks for blessing our ministry with one of Jacob's Playgrounds. We also want to thanks to the Missionary Ventures crew that made this possible for us. We love you guys and enjoyed spending the time with you. The kids in our community are really excited to start playing. Lots of kids came in the afternoons to help work and just to be in on the excitement. (Some of the boys were already trying to walk across the tops of the monkey bars!) Due to the rain though, we still have to make a couple finishing touches on the playground before it's ready to go and we need to let the ground dry out after all this rain and mud. So, we're trying to grow patience in the kids for a few more days. Hold on kids!
